Wow, my side is sore and this time it isn’t a bad sore it’s a good sore. Tom won two tickets to “Whose Live Anyway” a road show starring many of the cast of the ABC show “Whose Line is it Anyway? and we bought two more and took the boys.
The show was playing in our neck of the woods too which was awesome.
We grabbed a quick dinner after picking up Chris after work and then picked up the Boys tickets at the Will Call box, headed into the theatre to wait for the doors to open.
The entrance to our section was down a short hallway. As we stood there both Tom and I noticed Gregg Proops popping in and out of a doorway down the hall. I was joking with Tom that if I saw Chip Esten that I was gonna run down the hallway and ask him to sign my boob. He’s CUTE!! He was in a Cold Case Episode and to be honest I didn’t recognize him. I was all WHO is that guy? (he played a DJ in a 50’s set crime).
The show was FANTASTIC! So much of the time we were all in tears laughing. These guys are total masters of Improv. That was the fastest 90 minutes ever. As always there was plenty of audience participation. Bringing some folks up on the stage to pose them or make sound effects. If you’ve seen the show you’ll know what I’m talking about.
After they left the stage the cheers brought them out for an encore bit where they brought one of the older lady ushers up on the stage and an 11 year old girl.
Getting OUT of the parking lot was a bit of a chore, everyone trying to get out of dodge at the same time but as the venue wasn’t too far to drive we got home at a decent enough hour where Tom could get to bed. He starts EARLY tomorrow.
If you have a chance to see this show we HIGHLY recommend it. Tom had it right when he said we’ve found our new Blue Man Group. We’ve seen that show ummm four times I think. We will totally have to go to another one of these when they come back.
I had taken Sean’s camera with us just in case they didn’t allow cameras in and confiscated them or something. His is more cheaply replaced! Too bad as it turns out they don’t mind cameras for the first few minutes of the show (and the end). So the photos aren’t QUITE as good as they would have been with my camera but beggars can’t be choosy.
